Country Floor Plans
Have you ever noticed how everyone has different tastes? What is a thing of beauty to one person may be repulsive to the next person. This is true about everything from the careers we pick to do, the clothes we choose to place on our bodies, the cars we drive, the cologne we wear, the foods we eat, the homes we buy, the list can go on and on. No matter how many people love one thing there are as many that are going to dislike it. I think this is wonderful. Think about how boring life would be if we all loved the same things. We would all wear the exact same thing, drive the same car and eat the same food, where would the fun be in that?
My husband and I have lived in the city for years. We are now planning to move to the country and many of our friends are giving us a hard time about this. They are pointing out all the inconveniences of living in a rural area. We have listened to them; however we are still looking through country floor plans. Both my husband and I grew up in rural areas so we know the inconveniences, but we also know the advantages of privacy, flowers and gardens and having space. As we were beginning our careers and needing to put in more hours at our jobs living in the city made sense. Now that we are established in our careers and have more set hours it seems like a good time to follow our dream to have a wonderful country home. There are many country floor plans to choose from. We started looking at the plans quite a while ago. The country floor plans seemed to act as our motivator to meet our goal of moving out of the city.
When we went to a realtor to start looking for property I mentioned that we were having a difficult time deciding on a floor plan for our country home. She said that she was not surprised because often times it is difficult to decide on a plan until you can visualize it on the property. This made great sense to us. We found the perfect piece of property. It is five acres of land with a small stream running through and several mature trees on the land. It is located three miles out of a small community that has many amenities. Once we saw the property one of the floor plans we had been looking at seemed perfect. We would face the living room and dining room towards the small stream in the back and have the kitchen and office face the road. We decided that this would be a great setting for a log home. We are looking forward to our country living and we are glad that not everyone wants to share the country space, there would not be room.
